WordPress Website Design & Development

WordPress Websites Built Around Your Business

I design and develop clean, modern WordPress websites for small and medium-sized businesses that need more than something that simply looks good.

From the first conversation through to launch, I combine practical design, technical experience, and clear communication to build a website that fits your business and does the job it was created for.

A Better Starting Point

Your Website Should Work for Your Business — Not Against It

Maybe you are starting from scratch and are not sure where to begin.

Maybe your current website is outdated, unfinished, slow, difficult to manage, or no longer represents the business properly.

Or perhaps you have already been through a frustrating website project and just want someone who will listen, explain things clearly, and take the work seriously.

WhitingWeb helps businesses turn those situations into a clear plan and a website built around what they actually need.

Why WhitingWeb

Design Thinking. Technical Experience. Personal Involvement.

A website project involves more than choosing colours and arranging content. It needs someone who can understand the business, think through the user experience, work with the technical environment, and communicate clearly when decisions need to be made.

You Deal Directly With Me

WhitingWeb is owner-led. I am directly involved in understanding the project, planning the website, and carrying out the work.

You are not passed between departments or left wondering who is responsible for the project.

Website and Technical Experience

I have spent six years building websites and more than ten years working in broader IT support, servers, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting.

That background helps me look at a website as both a customer-facing experience and a working technical system.

Built Around the Business

I do not start with a predetermined template and try to force the business into it.

The project starts with understanding what you need, what you already have, and what the website needs to achieve.

Clear Communication

Technical work should not require you to become a technical expert.

I aim to explain problems, options, progress, and additional costs clearly so you can make informed decisions about your website.

Process

A Clear Process From First Discussion to Launch

Every website is different, but the process should still be structured. You should know what is happening, what is needed from you, and what the next stage of the project looks like.

Discovery

I start with a discussion about your business, your website, and what you need the project to achieve.

Audit & Review

I review the relevant website, hosting, content, media, technical systems, company material, and inspiration so the project starts with a proper understanding of what already exists.

Quotation & Approval

The proposed scope and cost are agreed before the main design and development work begins.

Design & Development

The approved direction is turned into the working website, with design, content, and technical requirements developed together.

Review & Revisions

You review the website and provide feedback at the appropriate stages before final approval.

Deployment

Once the website is approved, final checks are completed and the site is prepared for launch.

Most website projects take approximately three to six weeks, depending on scope, client responsiveness, current workload, and technical complexity.

After Launch

Launch Doesn’t Have to Be the End of the Project

Once your website is live, you can take over its management, receive training so you can look after it yourself, or keep WhitingWeb involved.

Ongoing support can include hosting, maintenance, monitoring, optimisation, security checks, and technical assistance based on what the website actually needs.
